1. "Which character do you like better between Glinda and Elphaba?"도 이해는 되지만, 영어에서는 "between A and B"보다 "A or B?"를 직접 붙이는 구조가 더 자연스럽습니다.  
2. ":"를 사용해 "Glinda or Elphaba?"를 강조하면 말하는 사람이 선택을 유도하는 뉘앙스를 더 잘 전달할 수 있습니다.

두 대상 간의 선택을 물을 때는 "A or B?" 형태로 직접적으로 묻는 것이 가장 자연스럽습니다.

 

like (obj) better: (obj) 가 더 마음에 들다 (prefer 보다 캐주얼하게 사용)

당연히 Glinda지. 많은 사람들에게 사랑받는다는 점에서 나랑 비슷하잖아.

1. "She resembles me just like being loved by many people."는 어색한 표현입니다.  
   - "Just like"는 문장 연결 방식이 부자연스럽고,  
   - "being loved by many people"도 너무 직역투입니다.  
2. "She resembles me in that she is loved by many."처럼 "in that ~" 구조를 쓰면 ‘~라는 점에서 닮았다’는 의미가 자연스럽게 전달됩니다.

비교나 유사점을 나타낼 때는 "in that ~" 구조를 활용하면 매끄럽고 정확하게 표현할 수 있습니다.

 

in that (~~): (~~) 이라는 점에서

엄청 욱하는 거 보면 Elphaba에 더 가까운 거 같은데.
I feel you are close to Elphaba in that you have a temper.
I think you're more like Elphaba because your've got such a temper.

 
1. "I feel you are close to Elphaba in that you have a temper."는 문법적으로 맞지만 다소 격식 있고 어색하게 들릴 수 있습니다.  
2. "I think you're more like Elphaba because you've got such a temper."는 훨씬 구어체이고 자연스럽습니다.  
   - "You've got such a temper"는 감정을 강조하며 장난스럽게 지적하는 느낌이 더 살아납니다.

"You're more like Elphaba because you've got such a temper"처럼 말하면, 친근하면서도 생생한 뉘앙스를 전달할 수 있습니다.

 

have (got) a temper: (욱하는) 성질이 있다

왜 이러셔. Elphaba도 나 같은 매력이 있었으면 할 거야. 난 인상을 심어 줄 때 마법의 힘 같은 거 필요 없거든.
Hello? Elphaba also want to have a charm like me. I don't need a magical power when making an impression.
Oh, please. Elphaba wishes she had my charm. I don't need magical powers to make an impression.

 
1. "Hello?"는 대화 시작용 감탄사로는 어울리지만, "Oh, please."는 더 풍부한 감정(짜증, 빈정거림)을 담아 자연스럽습니다.  
2. "Elphaba also want" → "wants"로 동사 변화 필요합니다. 주어가 3인칭 단수이기 때문입니다.  
3. "a charm like me"는 어색하므로 "my charm" 또는 "charm like mine"이 자연스럽습니다.  
4. "a magical power"도 보통 "magical powers"처럼 복수형으로 씁니다.

감정이 실린 표현을 자연스럽게 하려면 어조에 맞는 감탄사와 관용 표현을 적절히 써야 합니다.

뭐, 어딜 가든 소란을 피우는 습관이 있긴 하지. 꼭 Elphaba처럼 말이지.

1. "Well, you have a habit of creating a scene."도 괜찮지만, "you do have"라고 강조하면 말투에 더 생동감이 생깁니다.  
2. "wherever you go"를 덧붙이면 ‘어딜 가든’이라는 의미가 더 자연스럽고 구체적으로 전달됩니다.  
3. "Just like Elphaba."는 문장 앞부분과 자연스럽게 연결되도록 콤마를 붙여 ", just like Elphaba."로 쓰는 것이 좋습니다.

강조하고 싶은 말에는 "do"를 활용하고, 장소나 상황을 더 생생하게 그리려면 "wherever" 같은 표현을 붙이는 것이 효과적입니다.
